Its been a long a stretch- two degrees, a diploma, a couple schools, couple of provinces, but hey I made it to orientation, and through my first week and I think I'm going to be OK.
What have I taken away? Well be prepared. No, seriously be well prepared for everything that can possibly happen and you will be fine. But remember to try and prepare yourself for the unexpected while not forgetting what is expected by you. Oh yeah, make sure that you are integrating as much technology as possible... as long as it fits with what you are teaching. But most importantly you have to connect with your students or else that class from hell will take over.
Confused yet? Because I sure am.
But seriously, the first two weeks have really flown by and its crazy to think in four weeks I will be walking into Souris School and the fun really starts. I'm sure my fellow classmates are feeling the pressure as well. But until the night terrors start and my hair goes grey I wont be concerned.
Thanks for the read and leave a comment!

It will go by fast .. and it can be confusing, maybe some terrors, and you will never be prepared for everything that can happen, that is the fun & challenge of teaching - but in the end, what you said about connecting with students ... is the name of the game :-) ... oh yea and using lots of tech LOL
